Io Kanda (神田 依桜, Kanda Io) is a character in the series Looks Are All You Need. She is the third year head of talent department at Ryouran High School. She is a prodigious actress who has already plaed leading roles in films and TV dramas. Stoic, personable and highly professional, she appears at first glance to be a perfect superhuman, but in fact, in her private life she is a bit of a loose cannon. With a curious side, she uses her natural powers of observation to discover the Ikebukuro siblings' hidden abilities and true nature, approaching them with interest and fondness.

Etymology[]
- The name Io is written as "dependent" (依) (Yori) and "cherry blossom" (桜) (sakura).
- The family name Kanda is written as "field affiliated with a shrine (the tax-exempt proceeds of its harvest going to pay for shrine operations)" (神) (shin) and "rice field (field used to make rice wine) " (田) (ta).
